Speaking at the Newsroom Summit, London 8-9 September, Dr. Andreas Wiele, Head of BILD-Group and Magazines at Axel Springer, outlined the group’s online and mobile publishing strategy, illustrating significant progress in this regard. For example, income from digital content expanded from only 2% in 2004 to 25% in 2010, with a plan to make it 50%, equivalent to income from paper publishing, in the next few years.
